Abstracts should pertain to the major topics of the conference including ontogeny and development, physiology, biomechanics, phylogeny, methodologies and nomenclature, egg shell histology, fossilization and soft-tissue preservation, and dental tissues.
Deadline for abstract submissions is February 28, 2015.
Instructions for abstract submission
The abstract should clearly describe its importance to the field of paleohistology and contain the purpose, results, and conclusion of the study.
Abstracts should be in English and no longer than 250 words. Titles are limited to 150 characters, including spaces. Do not include citations or figures in the text.
Download the template below and fill in the title, authors, affiliations, and abstract sections.
If you are copying and pasting text into the template, please follow these instructions to maintain proper formatting. If you are using Microsoft Office: On the “Home Tab”, under the Clipboard Section, select the paste option “Use Destination” or “Merge Formatting”
If you are using LibreOffice/Openoffice: Under Edit -> Paste Special, select the option “Unformatted Text”. Note you may need to re-add italics.
Once you have filled in the template, please save it under the corresponding author’s last name (e.g., Hartnell.docx)*. Accepted filetypes are docx, doc, and odt.
Once you are ready to submit, click on the submit abstract button below. You will be required to fill out a form, which asks for the corresponding author’s name and contact information and whether you prefer a poster or oral presentation. You will also be able to upload your abstract(s).
Student Prizes
If you are a student, you can select on the form whether you would like to be considered for either the poster or oral student presentation prize. Each prize is 250 Euros and will be judged on the quality of presentation.
*For submitting multiple abstracts:
If you are the corresponding author on more than one abstract, you only need to fill out the form once. Please upload each abstract as individual files.
You will need to add your preference (poster or oral presentation) to each filename (e.g., Smith1_poster.docx; Smith2_oral.docx).
